Universal Music Group is the largest music company in the world, and the work a group that size needs from a creative partner doesn't fit into a single project. It spans labels, platforms, internal teams, startup programs, corporate initiatives and the daily output of a business shaping how music gets made, released and discovered. What UMG has needed, over more than a decade, is a studio that can turn up across all of it. We've been that studio.
Brand, platform and content work across the group
We've worked across Universal's consumer platforms, including uDiscover Music and Digster, from pitched redesigns and CMS reviews through to ongoing campaign and editorial support. On the editorial side we've supported Sinfini Music, Decca and Mercury Studios with brand, sales and campaign work. We've designed and built UMusic Lift, the group's startup education platform, from name and brand through to full UX, UI and content system. We've taken UMG Connect through a refresh to align with Lift, and developed new identities for Ignite and Pulse. Alongside the platform work, we've supported the Digital Innovation team across pitch decks, strategy presentations, commercial technology communications, artist-facing tools like Oscil8 and Marcam, and internal initiatives across Track Rec, EMI Archive, and the Corporate Portal rebrand. Whatever the shape of the brief, the job has been the same, make the work clear, credible and ready for the audience in front of it.
